CMP rents out land and buildings in connection with its ports and terminals. This letting operation – which is bigger in Malmö than in Copenhagen – comprises office premises, stores, warehouses and land.

CMP owns commercial premises in Malmö with a total floor area of 43,000 square metres. At year-end 2012, 98% of this space was let, up from 80% in 2010. In Malmö CMP also has about 140,000 square metres of land available to let. 96% of this area was let at the end of the year. This is an increase on 2011, when about 90% of the land was let.

During the year Malmö City Council established new car parks on some of the areas that were freed up when CMP’s RoRo business moved to Northern Harbour in 2011. In total some 19,000 square metres was converted into car parks. It is being implemented in two stages, with the first stage in 2012 comprising 190 parking places.

During the year premises and land have also been let to a newly established workshop- and service operation. In addition, premises at CMP’s head office in Malmö have been leased to a new tenant.

About 25,000 square metres of land at Prøvestenen in Copenhagen are available for liquid bulk operations. 90,000 square metres of land are also available at Prøvestenen for dry bulk operations. Most of the company’s 80,000 square metres of space in Nordhavnen in Copenhagen is currently let.
